The conference summary from the Flex-CPT 2nd Review Meeting, held on 22–23 April 2026 at the University of Vaasa, has now been published. The publication captures the key scientific insights, technological developments, and future perspectives presented and discussed during the two-day event.
Building on the presentations, expert discussions, and poster sessions featured at the review meeting, the summary brings together selected highlights from project partners and invited speakers. It provides an overview of the multidisciplinary research activities taking place within the Flexible Clean Propulsion Technologies (Flex-CPT) consortium and showcases recent advances in flexible clean propulsion technologies.
A central theme emerging from the review meeting, and reflected throughout the conference summary, was the need for flexible approaches to sustainable propulsion. The contributions highlighted in the publication emphasise that no single fuel or technological pathway can address all future sustainability challenges. Instead, Flex-CPT combines expertise from the marine and off-road sectors to develop propulsion solutions that are both fuel- and platform-agnostic.
The conference summary also documents the outcomes of the event, the publication highlights emerging research priorities, competence development needs, and opportunities for cross-sector collaboration. The summary provides a snapshot of the collective knowledge shared during the Flex-CPT 2nd Review Meeting and offers insights into the role of flexible propulsion technologies in enabling a fuel-diversified future and supporting the evolution of the off-road and marine sectors towards 2030 and beyond.
